Cleaning your Hardwood Floors

When the time comes to choose the finish you use on your wood floor, it is very important to know which one is the best to use. We always give you the best advice. On top of any finish, I would strongly recommend Swedish finish. It is the most durable and beautiful finish you can have on your floor. The brand we mostly use is Synteko Classic, but it’s your choice.
Swedish Finish: Swedish Finish is an acid-based urethane. It is a clear and fast drying finish. It is the most durable finish. This can only be applied by a highly skilled wood floor professional.

Oil-modified urethane: This is generally the most common surface finish and is easy to apply. It is oil-based polyurethane that dries up in about 8 hours.
Brands we use: Duraseal and Bona Kemi
Water-based urethane: Water based urethane is a waterborne urethane that dried by water evaporation. These finishes are clear and non-yellowing. They have a milder odor than oil-modified finishes have and they dry in about 2 to 3 hours. Water-based urethane are generally more expensive and usually require at least 3 coats.
